The event is organized by the IAWA-China Group which was established in 2014, and co-organized by Southwest Forestry University and the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of CAS, with support from the National Center for Schooling Development Programme of China, the Wood Specimen Resource Center of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration (NFGA) of China, and the National Innovation Alliance for Wood Specimen of China.
The theme of this meeting is “Empowering wood anatomy technology development through new quality productivity”. Discussion topics will include 1) Wood anatomy advancements of domestic and international; 2) Dendrochronology science; 3) Wood biology; 4) Identification and preservation of archaeological wooden remains; 5) Application of multidisciplinary fusion in wood anatomy; 6) Anatomical structure and utilization of bamboo and vine; 7) Construction of digital platforms for wood specimen databases relevant to dual carbon strategies.
