Sandalwood Workshop organized by the Advanced DNA, Identification and Forensic Facility (ADIFF), University of Adelaide, had been successfully held online on August 5th, 2020. The theme of the workshop mainly covered species identification and origin tracking of sandalwood using isotopic fingerprinting and genetic methods, sustainable utilization and conservation of resources, and future opportunities and collaborations. More than 50 representatives attended this workshop and 10 oral presentations were presented. The aim of this workshop is to bring together important stakeholders for sandalwood in Australia, and internationally, including government agencies, scientific institutions and landholders, to present their perspectives on the current problems facing the industry and the potential solutions.
