The New Year 2024 is approaching, I would like to thank the seven outgoing IAWA council members (2021-2023), namely Marco Carrer, Geoffrey Daniel, Emmanuel Ebanyenle, Immo Heinz, Eryuan Liang, Alexei Oskolski, and Nigel Warwick for their great support over the last three or six years, and to all earlier IAWA council members for their continuous contributions. Without their time and efforts, it would be impossible for IAWA to achieve the current excellent stage. I hope that in the future, IAWA could get as much support as before from our former council members and would become more attractive to all people who are working on wood anatomy and the related fields.
